According to the U.S. Dept. of Energy, the U.S. average price for a gallon of diesel fuel last week was $2.582/gallon. eia

This is down from the previous week when it was $2.601/gallon.

The fuel surcharge for the week of 10/05/09 will be .36 cents per mile or 18.5%.

(NOTE: THIS IS BASED ON THE UPDATED DCI FUEL SCHEDULE (August 5, 2009)
